Assynt 10 Point Red Stag Skull

This imposing skull belonged to a Red stag found dead on the side of the road in Assynt. This handsome lad would look cracking above someone's fireplace. He features 10 points and an 11th broken tine near his brow tine. Due to his time in the ditch he had lost some of the colouration on his antlers and has since been re-stained with potassium permanganate, peat and spruce bark. Though a stunning colour, there is a 'shine' to his antlers that gives the artificial staining away, there are also a few pin-prick stains on the bone, where the potassium permanganate flicked off the brush. These imperfections are reflected in the price.
