I found this striking specimen in a stubble field in Milton Keynes whilst stalking Chinese Water Deer - it caught my eye as different from the other rocks and I immediately recognised what it was. These are the fossils of an extinct genus of Oyster from the Jurassic era, but folklore says they were created when the devil clipped his toenails due to their curved nail like appearance. This particular specimen is approximately 2 inches in length, it would be the perfect addition to a printers tray curiosity display or just a general British Fossil Collection.
