These necklaces feature an intricate sun motif with a restful face. They are hung on lengths of a rich brown suede and are closed with antique bronze lobster clasps. A’ Ghrian is Scottish Gaelic for ‘the sun’ and though we do not see the sun often, our sunsets are some of the most beautiful in the world - especially so on the West Coast. This necklace is a subtle way to pay homage that rare sight.
Cúruadh is a small business owned and operated by an individual, but despite being not much more than a sole trader, I still hold a strong commitment to sustainability. All my packaging is either recycled, recyclable or compostable. I source materials locally whenever possible and will always opt to use natural fibres such as wool, leather, cotton and hemp over synthetics. I run my brand and business with a low tolerance for single use plastics.
