Joseph Farquarson (1846-1935) was a Scottish Oil Painter, who often depicted scenes of shepherding. This print of the painting, ' The Shortening Winter's Day is Near a Close ' depicts a snowy scene of shepherd tending sheep as the evening sun seeps through the trees.
