This vintage jar was found in an old shed, it's rusted and worn with age but it has a certain charm to it and, undeserving of being discarded, it has found new life as a tea light. The wax in this candle is a mixture of deer tallow and British Beewax. This candle carries a sweet and subtle scent of rose and wildflower perfect for Spring. This jar is from the early 1900's but the Meltonianbrand itself is still around today, the word 'Meltonian' traces its origins back to the town Melton Mowbray and the brand historically has had strong links to British Hunting.
Cúruadh is a small business owned and operated by an individual, but despite being not much more than a sole trader, I still hold a strong commitment to sustainability. All my packaging is either recycled, recyclable or compostable. I source materials locally whenever possible and will always opt to use natural fibres such as wool, leather, cotton and hemp over synthetics. I run my brand and business with a low tolerance for single use plastics.
